This year's Sundance Film Festival taking place January 15 through 25 in Park City, Utah — plans to celebrate rock legends with a solid lineup of music-themed films and events. Klipsch, has signed on to provide dynamic sound at three major fest locations: the Sundance ASCAP Music Café, Filmmaker Lodge and New Frontier on Main.
"While Klipsch has long been a supporter of the Sundance Film Festival, this year is especially exciting because our speakers and rock music go hand-in-hand," said Judy Klipsch, vice chairman of Klipsch and creator of the company's "buzz marketing" initiative. "For over 60 years, Klipsch has been known for its rebellious spirit and no-compromise audio legacy. Our premium horn-loaded speakers deliver extremely powerful performances that are raw and direct. There's no holding back, you feel the impact every time you push play."
Inside the Sundance ASCAP Music Café, located at lower Main Street, you'll find several Klipsch professional speakers, including the CA-800T, KI-215 and KI-362. This popular festival locale has long been a place for credential holders to experience dynamic live performances by both emerging and established artists. This year's lineup includes Dave Barnes, Sara Watkins, Gin Blossoms, Wynona, Damien Rice and John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls.
There's a lot more to Klipsch than just delivering lifelike music performances. The brand is also heavily focused on movies and home theater entertainment. In fact, over half of all new theaters in North and Sound America feature Klipsch speakers. At last year's Sundance Film Festival, Klipsch helped showcase the diversity of contemporary cinema by sponsoring Be Kind Rewind.
"I've always been inspired by the philanthropic efforts of the Sundance Institute and love supporting independent film, so I will do everything I can to continue to support this amazing festival and its artists," concluded Mrs. Klipsch.
In addition to supporting the Sundance Film Festival, Mrs. Klipsch — along with marketing company Explicit Events — has executed numerous "buzz marketing" initiatives that include the MTV Video Music Awards, the ESPY Awards, the Grammy® Awards and the Academy® Awards. And with the digital TV transition nearing, Mrs. Klipsch and her team are using this major TV milestone as a springboard to educate consumers that a high-definition picture demands high-definition sound and that a 5.1home theater system equals five speakers and one subwoofer.
