As a player of SmackDown vs Raw 2009 and a huge fan of the franchise, I am very happy to announce, THQ has finally released the create-a-wrestler patch…… for the PS3. Sorry Xbox 360 owners, including myself, we will have to wait a little while longer for our update.

The new patch will allow players to create multiple created superstars without going through the entire career mode, which is not only boring and repetitive but, takes an enormous amount of time. The patch also grants players the ability to grant and declined abilities earned through career mode. Previously if an unwanted ability was earned, you were forced to keep it. And with 20 abilities available and a limitation of only six per character, you could understand how frustrating the creation process became.


January 14, 2009 - THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced the availability of a Create-a-Superstar patch for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. The patch, available via PlayStation®Network, will let players give their created Superstars increased attributes following a one-time completion of the game's Career Mode, as well as allow players to accept or decline Superstar abilities once they are unlocked. In addition, players may enter the code "MAXCAS" to provide created Superstars with increased attributes in lieu of repeating Career Mode play.

A Create-a-Superstar patch for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft is expected to release in early 2009.
