News of Microsoft releasing a handheld console is nothing new. But, with two weeks until E3 2009 reports of a mysterious ZuneX has surfaced onto the interwebs. Is it a work of fan fiction, over zealous-photoshoping, or is it the real deal? Initially with no confirmations from the Microsoft camp our little minds ran away with themselves dreaming of a Microsoft bred iPhone & PSP killer. Well folks that’s exactly what it is….. a dream! Microsoft has confirmed to VG247 that the ZuneX is nothing more than a rumor. And with some “Scooby-Doo” sleuthing over at Gizmodo, the conclusion’s are, the images below are fantasy works of photoshop.

Sorry guys, we would love to see an Xbox 360 portable that doubles as an mp3 player and phone. Maybe we’ll see one at E3….. then again, maybe not!
