Variety.com is reporting, a big screen adaptation of the critically acclaimed 2005 PlayStation 2 title “Shadow of the Colossus”, is currently in development by Sony Pictures. Shadow of the Colossus follows the epic story of “a man named Wander who must travel across a cursed wasteland and defeat 16 creatures, known as the colossi, in order to restore the life of a girl.”

Not much is known about the tight-lipped project, however Justin Marks is writing the screenplay and Kevin Misher in negotiations to produce the film. We’re hoping the film stays true to its fanbase, as this will undoubtly become be a highly anticipated film amongst gamers. We’ll keep you posted as more information is revealed.
