Those heroes in a half shell are not only celebrating their 25th anniversary (wow has it really been 25 years) but a new live-action film has been announced and is slated for a 2011 release. In what seems to be a series re-boot, the upcoming film will focus on the “character’s origins” with the original 1984 comic book series serving as the source material. As a child of the 1980’s I’ll forever be a huge turtle fan and I’m looking forward to the live-action adaptation. With advances in CG and special effects, I’m sure the new TMNT flick will not disappoint visually, but I hope it’s compelling enough for new and fans of the original to enjoy.
