No this is not an early April Fools joke! According to a report published by Famitsu, the little white box that Gates built has finally reached the 1 million mark in Japan. While they still trail behind Sony and Nintnedo, this is a major milestone for the software giant, since the Xbox 360 has faced an uphill battle since day one.

“According to sales figures from Famitsu publisher Enterbrain, lifetime sales for the Xbox 360 have crossed the million sold watermark in Japan with 1,001,191 units as of March 29. The Xbox 360 went on sale in Japan on December 10, 2005.”
