Who watches the Watchmen? Apparently a lot of people did this paste weekend! Initially opening as a midnight release to an impressive $4.6 million dollars, Watchmen went on to dominate the entire weekend becoming the #1 movie in America. Domestically the film earned $55.7 million and $27.5 million in international theaters. As the weekend drew to a close it became certain that Watchmen was a huge blockbuster success, pulling in an estimated total of $83.2 million dollars worldwide. Congratulations to Warner Bros. on creating such a fine film!
