This week Apple’s latest iPod was unveiled and it’s a new and improved iPod Shuffle. The new 4GB model boasts a 10 hour battery life, measures 1.8" tall x 0.7" wide x 0.3" thin and weighs 10.7 grams. How heavy is that you ask? 10.7 grams weighs slightly heavier than a ball point pen. The new Shuffle comes equipped with a stainless steel clip, for you fashion savvy techies, and the controls have been moved to the ear bud cord.
While the increase to 4GB is a great addition to the Shuffle, the most notable changes are Apple’s new Voice Over technology and the ability for the shuffle to change from “shuffle mode” to play list mode. Since there’s no display screen, at the touch of a button, Voice Over will help owners select different play lists (that’s right multiple play lists is supported) and it will also tell the user the title of the song that is currently playing. Eliminating any guess work on the owner’s part, Voice Over will be a great substitution to the standard display screen.

While it’s rumored the new 4GB Shuffle will be available at the Apple store today, no official release date has been announced. Prices are expected to start at around $79. Below you’ll find a link to promotional video of the Shuffle, brought to us via Endgadget.com.
