Last week Dan Aykroyd participated in a brief chat interview with The Boston Globe discussing his career, the House of Blues, and his other memoriable moments on film. Most notibly, he discussed the current status of the (in our eyes) long over-do and highly anticipated Ghostbusters 3 sequel.

The question posed to Mr. Aykroyd came from a user Tom who participated in the chat:

Tom: Ghostbusters 3? I've heard that the writers of the Office are currently penning a script? How is this coming along, and should we look forward to this movie seeing the light of day? Thanks Dan!

Dan Aykroyd: Script is commenced early summer. Hope to be in production by late fall 2009

So it looks like it’s a go on GhostBusters 3 right? We sure hope so, and we’ll keep you posted as new details on the film rolls in.
