I love how the World’s Governments (inluding mine in the US) love to rally around the really hard and tough issues destroying our society. So here we go again! Yet another nation, this time Barbados, has taken the offense by going after “violent video games” by encouraging it youth to simply Say NO!

I agree, we need a less violent world but, why must our governments use video games as the scape-goat. Gaming has only been around for the last 30 years while violence throughout our world has been around since day 1. If you want to end violence get rid of the "real" problems and leave our games alone.

"A government minister in Barbados has urged students to abandon violent video games as part of a Say No To Violence campaign."
Minister of Family, Youth and Sports Esther Byer-Suckoo (left) made the remarks at a school in St. George on Friday:
Let the violence go!
This means that we are not going to get angry and look to cuff, bite and kick people. We are not going to look to use any weapons and we are not going to be watching that stuff on television or in our video games either.
Because when you keep watching that violence and playing it on the video games, it becomes part of your lifestyle and something you think you can do when somebody gets you angry.
